MORAVIA DIVIDE 2022

MORAVIA DIVIDE is cca 700 km unsupported bikepacking race across Moravia, from Javorník to Břeclav, on a fixed route for mountain bikes.

The route is 99% rideable (includes only a few short sections, where most of riders will have to push their bikes), and passes through remoted Moravian areas as Rychleby Mountains, the foothills of Jeseníky, Hanušovice Highlands, Sovinecko, region Hana, Drahany Highlands and the Moravian Karst, around city of Brno, Bobrava Nature Park, wineyards of Pálava and Lednice-Valtice area, to the confluence of the Morava and Dyje rivers and ends in the southernmost Moravian town Břeclav.

DATE OF START, TIME LIMIT

START: Saturday 7th May; 7.30 am from Javorník
FINISH: Cyklosféra club, Břeclav
TIME LIMIT: the main organizer will surely wait in a finish until Wednesday 11th May 10pm (according to the number of riders on the track, possibly until Thursday 10pm. Riders who arrive at the finish line after the limit will hand over the GPS trackers in the Cyklosféra club or, at their own expense, by post to the organizer by post.

PRE-START MEETING: Meeting of riders and first part of presentation will take place on Friday 6th May in the evening, in Javorník. For riders who arrive to the start on Saturday morning, there will be a second round of presentation and picking of GPS trackers from 6.30am.

ROUTE

DISTANCE AND ELEVATION: cca 700km / 11000 m
TERRAIN: approx. 60% paved forest and field roads, 20% asphalted forest roads, 15% footpaths and singletrails, 5% minor roads.
RECOMMENDED BIKE: hardtail or full suspension mountain bike (gravel is not recommended)
MAIN ATTRACTIONS: Crayfish valley (Račí údolí), lookout tower Borůvková hora , Hraničky settlement, Nýznerov waterfalls, flooded quarry Rampa, Forest bar in Lipová, Dalimil´s lookout tower on Větrov, Rešov waterfalls, Sovinec and Šternberk castles, Basilica on Svatý Kopeček, castle in Náměšť na Hané, Plumlov dam and castle, Macocha abyss, windmill in Rudice, Alexandr’s lookout tower, Hády quarry, Bobrava PP, Moravský Krumlov, Mikulov and Lednice chateaux, game reserve Soutok, confluence of the Morava and Dyje rivers, Břeclav

RESTPOINTS

There will be 5 offcial RestPoints on the route, where it will be possible to take some refreshments, spend the night and meet with other riders and race organizers.

TRACKING OF THE RACE

Every rider will have GPS tracker, so it will be possible to follow the course of the race on the Internet via tracking application Follow-Me. In addition, there will be several FotoPoints on the route, where riders will have to take a photo and send it to UltraBikers website, with an option to leave a short comment and impressions.

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE

To participate in Moravia Divide 2022, it is necessary to register via the form in webstie section „REGISTRATION“ . After the payment of entry fee, the rider will be added to the starting list.

Registrations open on 1th December 2021 and close on 20th April 2022.

Maximum number of riders: 100

The entry fee for participation in the race is:

registration until 15th January 2022: 60 EUR (1 500 CZK)
registration after 16th January, until 20th April 2022: 80 EUR (2000 CZK)

The entry fee includes: gpx files with the route, renting of GPS tracker, route itinerary in pdf, racing number, UltraBikers sticker, medal for finishers, beer / soft drinks at the pre-start meeting, vouchers for discount on spending at the Cyklosféra club (at the finish) and RestPoints, the possibility of using the shower and two rooms for sleep in the finish.

The price of entry fee does not include overnight stays on RestPoints and before start. Riders interested in spending the night in the cabins in campsites can book their beds through the race organizers and pay for them in a cash at camp.

The deposit for GPS tracker is 40 EUR (1000 CZK) and is payable within 7 days before the start of the race (payment by bank transfer). In case of cancellation, the deposit is fully refunded via bank transfer (no cancellation fee). Riders will receive a deposit for the GPS tracker back within 5 days after returning the tracker, by bank transfer.

Payment for participating in a race must be done to the bank account with IBAN: CZ12 6210 0022 1678 4675, enter your name and surname and the text „MORAVIA DIVIDE 2022“ in the message for the recipient.

CANCELLATION FEES

In case of cancelling of participation from the race, paid entry fee will not be refunded, but:

in case of withdrawal of participation until 31.3. it is possible to transfer the payment once to any other UltraBikers race, without cancellation fee
in case of withdrawal from 1th to 20th April 2022, the cancellation fee 20 EUR will be deducted, the rest of payment can be transferred to other UltraBikers race
in case of withdrawal after 21th April 2022 a cancellation fee 40 EUR will be deducted, the rest of payment can be transferred to other UltraBikers race

Paid entry fee can be transferred to another person at any time, without cancellation fee.
