UB30: AROUND TATRAS is cca 1000 km Unsupported Bikepacking Challenge, where riders have to visit 30 WayPoints determined by the organizer of an event, as fast as possible, along voluntary route. Participants may prepare the route by themselves or will be able to use a recommended route by organizers.
WayPoints of this year´s edition of UB30 Challenge include mainly the natural and cultural attractions of Slovakia and Poland, in the area of the High and Low Tatras, the Slovak Paradise, Spiš and eastern Slovakia. Except of their tourist attractiveness, some WayPoints are also chosen so that the optimal route between them follows the roads with a little traffic.

DATE OF START: Wednesday 23th August 2022, at 9.00 am
PLACE: hotel Stará Ameryka, Jablunków
LIMIT FOR REACHING THE FINISH: 120 hours. The main organizer is waiting at the finish line until Monday 28th, 9.00 am. Riders who will arrive later will have to send the GPS trackers at their expenses to the organizer by post.

In the interest of maximum safety of riders, it will be prohibited to use these busy 1st class roads:
road 18 – Michalovce – Strážske
road 70– Dolný Kubín – Párnica
Competitors who violate this ban will not be listed among the Challenge finishers.
ORGANIZATION OF UB30 CHALLENGE
Depending on number of riders, 2-3 co-organizers with 1-2 support cars.
There will be no RestPoints or refreshment stations on the route.
Riders solve accommodation and food purely by themselves.
GPS TRACKING
Riders will be equipped with GPS trackers, thanks to which it will be possible to follow the progress of the challenge on the Internet via the tracking application FollowMe.
UB TRACKING
The progress of UB30 Challenge will be broadcoasted also on social networks of UltraBikers Cup, plus there will be 8 FotoPoints, from where riders will be able to share their experience on UltraBikers website. Submitting photos and comments will be voluntary, but will be rewarded by 10 points to general classification of UltraBikers Cup.
REGISTRATION AND STARTING FEE
To participate in the challenge UB30: Around the Tatras, it is necessary to register using the form below. Registration will start on 30/10/2022 and will be closed on 10/8/2023. Participants of the Split-Břeclav Challenge have priority registration and can apply from 30 September 2022.
Maximum number of competitors: 60
Of these, 20 places will be reserved for non-czech riders until June 30, 2023.
From July 1, 2023, a second registration window will be open for applicants from the Czech Republic.
The entry fee for participation is:
– when registering until 31.1.2023: 2000 CZK / 90 EUR
– when registering from 1.2.-10.8.2022: 2500 CZK / 110 EUR
After paying the entry fee, the applicant will be included in the entry list.
The entry fee includes: GPS tracker rental, gpx files with recommended route, start number, sticker, UltraBikers mug, diploma for finishers, 1x beer/soft drink at the pre-start meeting and at the finish line

Write your name and surname and the text „AROUND TATRAS“ in the note for the recipient.
The deposit for the GPS tracker (and other expenses) is 1000 CZK / 40 EUR. Competitors will be asked to transfer the deposit by bank transfer approx. 7 days before the start. Competitors will receive the deposit for the GPS tracker back within 5 days after returning the tracker by bank transfer.
CANCELLATION
In case of signing off the race, the paid entry fee is not refunded, but:
- if cancelled before 31.7.2023, you can transfer it once to any other event of UltraBikers Cup until the end of 2024, without a cancellation fee
- a cancellation fee of 20 EUR will be charged for cancellations between August 1 and August 19, 2023, the rest can be transferred
– cancellations after 8/20/2023 incur a cancellation fee of CZK 1,000, the rest can be transferred
The paid entry fee can be transferred to another person at any time, without a cancellation fee.

Those interested in accommodation in Jablunków arrange their own accommodation before the start.
