MORAVIA DIVIDE 2024 is an approx. 760km bikepacking challenge, with fixed route for mountain bikes, from Javorník to Břeclav, across czech region Moravia.
We have completely new route, which will take riders to most beautiful places on Polish side of Rychleby Mountains, Králický Sněžník, Zábřežská and Drahanská highlands, Haná, around Vír water dam, and through Hornosvratecká vrchovina and Tišnovsko and Hustopečsko area.
The route will be 99% rideable and will lead mainly along forest and field paved roads and rideable footpaths. However, it is regularly spiced up by small pitfalls that take you to extraordinary places, evoke strong emotions and bring nice views or unforgettable experiences. Don´t worry, these traps will usually be short, unridable sections will only exceptionally be longer than 500 m.
MD24 HIGHLIGHTS
Among the most interesting places of the route will be, for example, a hike to the glass platform on the Polish hill Trojak, viewpoint Brousek, Paprsek mountain hut, panoramic path above Dolni Morava with its Sky Bridge and Sky Walk attractions, single trails near Jodlow and Boskovice, castles Mírov, Bouzov, Pernštejn or Veveří, Plumlov and Lednice chateaux, passage through a rock window near Javoříčko or cave Průchodnice, meteostation Skalky and wilderness of Drahanská highlands, rock reliefs near Blansko, Černá Hora brewery, Babylon lookout tower, fords of Trusovice creek and White creek, views on water dam Vír, Hedeč, Kalvárie or Porta and Rose Coeli monasteries, iron viaduct „Železňák“, vineyards nearby Hustopeči … and lots of secret gems that we won’t reveal 😉

DATE, PLACES OF START AND FINISH
START: Saturday 11/5/2024 at 8.30, from Račí údolí near Javorník
FINISH: Club Cyklosféra, Břeclav
LIMIT FOR REACHING THE FINISH: Main organizer will be waiting at the finish until Friday 17/5 until 14.30 (limit 150 hours). Participants who will arrive at finish after this limit will be anyway classified as finishers, just without a personal welcoming of organizer.

LENGTH AND ELEVATION: 760 km / 14,000 m
TERRAIN: approx. 60% paved forest and field roads, 20% asphalted forest roads, 15% footpaths, 5% lower class roads.
RECOMMENDED BIKE: hardtail or full suspension mountain bike (gravel not recommended)

GPS TRACKING
MD24 participants will be equipped with GPS trackers, thanks to which it will be possible to follow the course of event on Internet via FollowMe tracking application. We will publish the link to the website cca month before start.
We will also inform about progress of the race on the social networks of the UltraBikers Cup and Moravia Divide.

We chose 10 TOP places of MD24 as „FotoPoints“ on the MD24 route“, where riders will be able to share their feelings and experience on UB website.
The use of UB Tracking will be voluntary, for each pictuer from FotoPoint accompanied by a comment (at least one word), participants will receive a 3 bonus points into general ranking of UltraBikers Cup.
PRESENTATION, PRE-START MEETING
The presentation of participants connected with the collection of start numbers and GPS trackers will take place on Friday 10.5. from 15.00-23.30.
The second part of the presentation for competitors who arrive at the start only on Saturday morning, will take place from 7.00-8.00.
FESTIVAL „THROUGH THE WORLD OF BIKEPACKING“
On Friday 10.5. an (voluntary) meeting of participants will take place in Račí údolí, which will include series of presentations „World of Bikepacking“, during which 3 elite Czech bikepackers will talk about and show pictures from their participation in races or expeditions abroad. Friends and relatives of competitors can also participate in the festival (free of charge).
The program will start from 16.00 and we will specify it during the winter.
Around 8:30 p.m., a briefing will take place with an introduction of the route, the team and a warning about pitfalls. The program will also include the screening of the premiere of the movie from Moravia Divide 2023.
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD OPTIONS BEFORE THE START
Riders will be able to sleep in Račí údolí before start of MD 2024, in huts or rooms. Dinner can also be prepared for them, breakfast will be included in the price of accommodation.
We ask you to indicate your preliminary interest in accommodation and food in the registration form. Approx. 3 weeks before the start, participants will get a link to another form for easier organization.
RESTPOINTS
There will be 3 RestPoints on MD 2024 route, where it will be possible to replenish supplies, take some refreshments, stay overnight and meet other riders and organizers.

REGISTRATION
Registrations on MD24 will start on 11/11/2023 at 20:00, when the registration form will be placed on this page (at the very bottom).
Priority right to registration is given to:
– UltraBikers from the TOP100 UB23 Cup
– MD23 participants
– participants of the „Last Mile of UB23“
– winners of one-day Challenges of UB CUP 2023
The above will receive an email with a link to the registration form about 2 weeks in advance.
Capacity of event: 150 people + 20 substitutes
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee for participation in MD24 is 3000 CZK / 130 EUR.
Entry fee includes: gpx files with the route, rental of a GPS tracker, start number, brevet card, small stickers, vouchers for a free drink at RestPoints and discount CZK 100 from spending in finish (in club Cyklosféra), welcoming drink at the presentation, isotonic drink at RestPoints, small refreshments at „secret RP“ during first day, transport of small package from start to finish, free entrance to mini-festival“ Through the World of Bikepacking“
+ 500 CZK / 20 EUR discount on entry fee Moravia Gravel 2024 (3stage challenge, September 20, web) and UB30: Berlin Challenge (1100km challenge, 30 Waypoints, voluntary route, August 23, web) or free entry fee for 1 one-day UB Challenge
For finishers: cup with MD logo, diploma and big sticker on car
Entry fee does not include: overnight stay and dinner in Račí údolí, overnight stay and hot meals in RestPoints, overnight stay in finish (club Cyclosféra). These expenses will be able to be continuously drawn from the deposit for the GPS tracker (see below).
PAYMENTS
We ask participants to send payments after January 1, 2024 to the bank account: 670100-2216784675/6210, in the note for the recipient, enter your first and last name and the text „MORAVIA DIVIDE 2024“.
DEPOSIT for the GPS tracker and expenses in Račí údolí and RestPoints will be 1500 CZK / 60 EUR . Riders will be asked to pay it cca week before start. In case of last minute cancellation, the deposit will be fully returned.
CANCELLATION
No cancellation fee is payable in case of cancellation of participation before 1/1/2024.
After payment of entry fee and subsequent cancellation of participation until 31.3.2024, the entry fee is no longer refundable, but it is possible to transfer it once to any other evEnt of UltraBikers Cup or MD25, without a cancellation fee.
In case of cancellation in the period 1.4.-25.4.2024, the entry fee is not refunded, it is possible to have it transferred to another event of the UltraBikers Cup or MD25, but there is already a cancellation fee of 500 CZK / 20 EUR
In case of cancellation after April 26, 2024, the cancellation fee is CZK 1,000 / EUR 40, you can transfer the rest of entry fee to other UB Cup or MD25.
The paid entry fee can be transferred to another person at any time, without a cancellation fee.
